Limiting the number of lessons a teacher can have per day

Min. and max. lessons per day
You can set minimum and maximum daily lesson counts to help balance your teachers' workloads. These are configured as constraints in the Constraints section on the teacher's edit page.
Go to Teachers > Edit > Constraints to configure these settings:
| Constraint | Description |
|---|---|
| Maximum lessons per day | Limits how many lessons a teacher can have on any single day. |
| Minimum lessons per day | Ensures a teacher has at least a few lessons on any day they're scheduled to come in. |
These settings are optional, so we recommend only applying them when a specific teacher needs them.
Example
If a teacher has 10 lessons a week, setting a maximum of 4 per day prevents them from being overloaded. Setting a minimum of 2 ensures they don't have to come in for just a single lesson.
Recommendation
Use Minimum lessons per day carefully. If you set too many restrictive rules—especially alongside several unavailable periods—it can make it harder for the system to find a perfect timetable solution.
