Lessons for subgroups

Lessons for subgroups
When only part of a class takes a lesson — like language electives or lab rotations — you assign the lesson to a specific subgroup instead of the whole class.
How it works
Subgroups belong to a division (for example, a "Languages" division with "Spanish" and "German" subgroups). When you assign a lesson to a subgroup, we try to align it with other lessons in the same division so students don't end up with free periods.
How to assign lessons
- Simple Add: Select the class, then pick the specific subgroup from the list.
- Quick Add: Select the subgroup label in the Groups column for the right class.
- Excel import: Use the
CLASS:DIVISION:SUBGROUP_NAMEformat (e.g.,10A:Languages:Spanish).
Don't forget
Every subgroup in a division must have at least one lesson. If any subgroup has no lessons assigned, the timetable generation will flag a configuration error.
See the Divisions documentation for full setup instructions.
