You can reduce the number of daily transfers between buildings by using a global rule and, if needed, individual constraints for each teacher.

Global rule: group lessons by building

Go to Timetable constraints and activate Lessons grouped by building. When this rule is active, we'll group each teacher's lessons by building as much as possible, balancing transfers across all teachers. This rule acts as a soft preference—it influences the schedule without strictly blocking other constraints.

Individual constraints per teacher

For teachers with stricter requirements, open the teacher's edit page and go to the Constraints section. You can set:

• Maximum building transfers per day — the teacher will not switch buildings more than this many times per day.
• Maximum building transfers per week — the teacher will not switch buildings more than this many times per week.

Our recommendation

Start with the global rule. Add individual constraints per teacher only where strictly necessary, as they reduce the scheduler's flexibility.
