You can control the number of working days for teachers in two ways: using a global rule for everyone, or setting individual constraints for specific teachers.

Global rule: minimize teacher working days

In Timetable constraints, activate Minimize working days for teachers. When this rule is active, we'll group each teacher's lessons onto as few days as possible, balancing this across the entire staff.

Individual constraints per teacher

On the teacher's edit page, in the Constraints section, you can set:

• Minimum working days — the teacher will work at least this many days per week.
• Maximum working days — the teacher will not be scheduled for more than this many days per week.

Individual constraints take priority over the global rule for the teachers where they are set.

Our recommendation

Use the global rule to minimize working days in general. Add individual constraints only for teachers with strict requirements, such as those who must not work more than a specific number of days or who need a guaranteed minimum number of working days.
