Assign lessons to subgroups

Once your divisions are set up, you can assign lessons to specific subgroups when adding or editing a lesson.

How to assign manually

Go to Lessons → Add and click the Class field. After picking a class, the menu expands to show its subgroups grouped by division. Select the subgroup you want.

If you pick a class without choosing a subgroup, the lesson is assigned to the whole class.

Every subgroup needs a lesson

For the best timetable results, every subgroup in a division should have at least one lesson assigned. Subgroups with no lessons can cause generation errors.

Make sure you create a separate lesson for each subgroup. For example, a Languages division with French, German, and Spanish subgroups needs three separate lessons.

Adding lessons in bulk

If you have a lot of lessons to enter, Quick Add is much faster.
