Automated generation
Automated generation lets you schedule multiple timetable generations to run in the background, without manual effort. When they are ready, you can compare the results and pick the best one.
Go to Timetables → Automated generation → Plan generation.
Step 1 — Number of timetables
Choose how many timetables to generate. The maximum number is shown in the wizard.
Step 2 — Due date
Set a deadline by which all generations should be completed. The app will try to finish them by 07:00 AM on the selected date.
Step 3 — Configuration per generation
For each scheduled generation you can choose:
- New generation — generates a completely new timetable from scratch
- Regenerate from existing — select an existing timetable as the starting point; the scheduler will try to improve it
Tracking progress
Once planned, the generations appear in the Automated generation list with their status, due date, and the user who scheduled them. You can cancel a pending generation from this list.
Note
Each generation uses the lesson and constraint settings as they are at the time of generation, not at the time of scheduling.
