Automated timetable generation
Automated generation lets you run multiple timetable versions in the background. Once they're done, you can compare them and pick the best one.
To get started, go to Timetables → Automated generation → Plan generation.
Step 1: How many versions?
Choose how many versions to generate. The wizard shows the maximum number allowed.
Step 2: Deadline
Pick a date. Generations are typically ready by 7:00 AM on that day.
Step 3: Generation settings
You can customize how each run works:
- New generation: Builds a fresh timetable from scratch.
- Regenerate from existing: Uses an existing timetable as a starting point to refine it further.
Tracking progress
You can see all scheduled runs in the Automated generation section, including their status and due dates. You can cancel a pending run at any time.
Note: Each generation uses the lessons and rules that are active when it starts.
