Example scenario: single teacher with split class
Last updated: May 16, 2026
Scenario: Class 12A splits into two subgroups (s1 and s2) for Computer Science. One teacher takes both groups, but in separate sessions.
Step 1: Create the division
Go to Classes → 12A → Subgroups → Add division.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Division name | Computer Science |
| Subgroups | s1, s2 |
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the lessons
Go to Lessons → Quick Add and create a lesson for each subgroup:
| Teacher | Subject | Groups | Lessons/week |
|---|---|---|---|
| John Smith | Computer Science | 12A-s1 | 2 |
| John Smith | Computer Science | 12A-s2 | 2 |
How it looks on the timetable
Since the same teacher teaches both groups, the sessions can't overlap. We'll usually place them at the start or end of the day to keep gaps in the class's schedule to a minimum.
